Part of the Desert Snows Story, and the History of the Antquae terrae. This is the biggest war to date. Between the Linions and Kanions essentially, it is quite a few years after the Linion Alca war. Most of the Alcas under new rulership (the previous ((insane)) emperors daughter) have gotten back on good terms with linions, but there are a percentage that still hold a (stupid) grudge and ally themselves to the Kanions, who are pretty much just repeating history. Their ruler is compromised by a dark force, which no one knows, is the same one that influenced the Alcan Emperor. Druida is infact behind it all, but there is only one who knows. And that one is not pictured here. Although she is involved. Because sengi gets involved in this war (as my very first deviation will tell you to look at it). Many of the Artemni (those imbued with magical ability that crop up in all intelligent species) get involved for the linions, but so do a few Wyvern lords on the Kanions side, and then Equantors from Aquilion (descendants of the original Equantors that helped build Arakidor that live in the nearby forest). Oh, and some Merlis, there to back sengi, who is their crown prince afterall.
Its very complex. To say the least. And very, VERY bloody. This is just a snippet i was inspired to do listening to the Titanic soundtrack (which is absolutely excellent for war scene drawing).
I might add more to it, but for now this is the final (because theres little chance of me ever doing more to drawings when i say i will).
aaaaaaall shmiiiiiine.
Oh, and Kanions don't wear armour for the most part because their thick skinned and proud and don't feel the need. and don't get me started on the properties of molecular chain mail metal armour invented and worn by the linions as you see here that idea is SO mine.
Wow, it truly does show you what war is truly like. Beautiful detail, everything looks amazing.
And I have to agree, the Titanic Soundtrack is very good for inspiring a drawing about almost anything x3

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
