This piece was made for our 'Imprint' project. The idea came to me when i did roller printing tests. I roller printed feathers onto copper and loved the result so much i wanted to do something with this theme. I remembered the ear cuffs made by *lavadragon , but i couldn't use wire. To feature the imprint, i had to use flat sheet metal. It had to be of a thin grade to make it light, but not too thin that it would bend over-easily. And i had to make the design as light as possible. I did test the original cuff design by Lavadragon using wire, but realised from my test that this kind of cuff was not suitable for sheet metal, nor was it aesthetically what i wanted. So i decided a full ear double cuff was needed. I took measurement of my ownear using beading wire and made a model. Then i drew up a design and printed the copper.

It was meant to be a pair, but i never got time to finish the other one, so it is for now a single.
My ear begrudged the making of this torture device and gave me a headache for my trouble, but i think it was well worth it.

Materials:
Copper (i think 0.5 mm), turkey and unidentified black feathers, silver jump rings (bought).
Time: waaaaay too long. I think i had a batch of shit saw blades because for a while, everything i cut took forever to cut, it was terribly frustrating >.< )
