these r crappy shots, ill prob get better ones later but IT'S DONE!!!^.^ i'll post all the progression pics of the steps i took, they may be a visual aid to those who want to do similar jewelery work.
WOW i cant believe i managed this without it all falling apart seeing as its only my second ever major jewellery project. It's for my HSC...higher school certificate...in D&T. i made a brooch in like three days as well...seems like such a quick job after the endless hours spent on this peice o.O there was melted silver, unsoldered bezels, missplaced soldered leafes (missplaced by my teacher not me >.< that woman has no aesthetic morals concerning symetry!!! ) hours of tedious filing and soldering and cleaning, multiple buffings of the leaves with the dremel (and miss tring's handy lil polisher head attachment ^.^ ) then of corse my finger was beaten up by the bezel rocker >.< until a final killing my skin with cloudy amonia/detergent n hot water mix and it was done!...wow...i feel lost o.O QUICK< GIMMIE SOME MORE TO DO TO STAVE OFF INNEVITABLE FOLDER WORK !!!! T_T
sterling silver- not wire, cut from sheet- 0.9 thickness. the leaves r brass, gold plating would have been nice...Amethyst in the front, ilinite? in the back (i thought it was just some dark variety of amethyst, apparently not) and garnet n peridot all around ^.^ the back silver leaf has gone all mottled, but i'm buggered if im going to emmery that off n polish it again >.<

yea, ye can wear the headdress three ways, back to front -upside-down, right way round upside-down n original intended (with small amethyst peice at front and 'feathers' dropping down in front of ears ) im tired now so i go away.
